Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf planning to revive his party APML

Dubai: Reports say that former Pakistani President, Military Chief and dictator, Pervez Musharraf, is planning to make a comeback in the national politics of Pakistan by reviving his party All Pakistan Muslim League (APML).

Pervez Musharraf is currently recovering from a rare disease in Dubai. He will address his supporters in Pakistan through video link on the foundation day of his party. Earlier, he had visited the United States for medical checkup.

His party, however, ruled out that Musharraf is unlikely to return to Pakistan anytime soon mainly because he is facing a treason case in Pakistan for suspending the Constitution of Pakistan in 2007. The Nawaz Sheriff government had filed the treason case against him in 2013.

The former President had left the country in 2016 to seek medical treatment in Dubai and has not returned to the Islamic country.
