J&K: Malayalee Jawan martyred in Pakistan’s ceasefire violation; two injured

Rajouri: An Indian army jawan from Kerala lost his life in Pakistan’s ceasefire violation on Tuesday in Sunderbani sector.

A native of Kollam, Naik Aneesh Thomas has been martyred in the ceasefire violation. He was scheduled to return home on the 25th September. But he laid down his life for the country.

Two others including a Major has been injured in Pakistani firing. The Pakistani Army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and intense shelling with mortars along LoC in Sunderbani sector of the district.

The officer, along with another soldier, is undergoing treatment at the military hospital, sources told news agency PTI.
