Kerala records highest-ever single-day spike of 1,608 COVID-19 cases; 803 recovered

Thiruvananthapuram: The state continues to report highest single day spike of 1,608 cases of coronavirus. Meanwhile, 803 have recovered from the disease.

The state’s tally now stands at 14,891 cases.

Malappuram recorded the most cases with 362, followed by Thiruvananthapuram 321, Kozhikode 151, Alappuzha 118, Ernakulam 106, Kollam 91, Thrissur 85, Kasaragod 81, Palakkad 74, Kannur 52, Pathanamthitta 49, Wayanad 48, Kottayam 39, Idukki 31.

The state also reported 7 deaths taking the toll to 146 due to coronavirus.

Of these confirmed cases 74 arrived from abroad while 90 from other states. 1409 people infected through contact.
