Kerala records highest single-day spike of 3,830 cases of COVID-19

Thiruvananthapuram: The state recorded highest single-day jump of 3,830 cases of coronavirus. At the same time 2,263 people recovered from the disease.

Thiruvananthapuram recorded the maximum cases with 675, followed by Kozhikode 468, Alappuzha 323, Ernakulam 319, Kollam 300, Malappuram 298, Thrissur 263, Kannur 247, Pathanamthitta 236, Palakkad 220, Kottayam 187, Kasaragod 119, Wayanad 99 and Idukki 76.

The number of deaths in the state is nearing 500. With more 14 deaths today, the death toll has reached 480.

Of the confirmed cases, 49 arrived from abroad while 153 from other states. Meanwhile, 3,562 have been infected through local transmission.
