Mahesh’s murder: life sentence for 11 CPM activists

Kannur: Thalasseri Additional Sessions Court has pronounced judgement on Chittariparamb Mahesh murder case. All the eleven  accused are charged with the crime of  murder.The incident took place on 6th March 2008.

The accused are CPM activists Pongoly Dhanesh,Onion Babu,Nellikka Uthaman, Chemmeri Prakashan, Manoli Umesh,Vazhavalappil Ranjith,Nellikka Mukesh,Karat Purushothaman,Chirukandoth Suneesh,Manappatty Suraj,Vayaleri Shiju. Additional imprisonment of tern years under Explosives Act has also been imposed.
Court pronounced a penalty of rupees fifty thousand and from this a sum of three lakhs must be handed over to the family of Mahesh.

Mahesh, who was an activist of CPM,  joined in BJP and this provoked CPM resulting in henious murder. Mahesh was stabbed to death at Chittariparamb town. .
