Maradu flat demolition case: Engineer with a Guinness record in the expert panel

Kochi: As per the Supreme Court’s instruction, the Kerala government has appointed an expert committee to demolish the four buildings due to the violation of Coastal Regulation Zone Act (CRZ Act).

Interestingly, one of the experts among the panel is a veteran engineer who holds a Guiness World Record for implosion of 200 buildings.

SB Sarvade is a 70-year-old resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He is expected to reach Kochi on 10th or 11th of October.

Several companies came forward to take up the tender. Three companies have been considered for the demolition of the flat. Two companies are likely to be selected.
