Piravam Church Case : Supreme court will consider plea on the contempt of Court on Monday

New Delhi : The Supreme Court will consider the plea on the contempt of court on Monday.

The petition is against people including Chief Secretary Tom Jose. Priest Scaria Vattakattil of Orthodox fraction is the petitioner.

State Government had filed a petition on 2nd of November, in the Supreme Court, requesting not to make the Piravam Church verdict bounded to time, as a discussion is going on to resolve the dispute over Orthodox Jacobite Church.

The State has produced a copy of the letter from Moran Mar Ignatious Aprem Dwitheeyan to Pratriyarkis Bava while considering the writ petition filed by the believers of the Jacobite Church.

The double standards of the Government is clear as the state does not seems to waste a minute to implement the verdict in Sabarimala women entry, however on the other hand the State itself is begging for time to imply the verdict on the church, in fact the State prefers an amicable settlement.
